The ICEF Master’s Programme in Financial Economics, which was launched in September 2007 with the support of several Russian and international corporate donors, turns 10 this year. Below, the programme’s Academic Supervisor Maksim Nikitin discusses some of the achievements the programme has made over the last decade, as well as some of the changes that will be implemented over the next academic year.

Double degree programme is launched on ICEF MSc ‘Financial Economics’. 

ICEF continues to recruit teachers with the internationally recognized qualifications (PhD).

The Higher School of Economics has made it onto 13 subject and two subject area rankings in the QS World University Ranking thanks to the university’s achievements as part of the Project 5-100. In addition, HSE was in the top 100 ranking for three subjects – Economics & Econometrics, Politics & International Studies, and Sociology – and it was the only Russian school in the Accounting & Finance 101-150 ranking. As for total number of subject rankings, HSE was third in Russia.

On March 1st the International College of Economics and Finance hosted the Honorary lecture by the UK Chief Economist and Director for Economics at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Mr. Shamik Dhar.

In March 2017, International Olympiad Competitions will be held for perspective students interested in studying in Master’s programmes at HSE University. All current undergraduate students and recent university graduates students interested in pursuing a Master’s degree are invited to participate.

On December 23, 2016 the alumni reunion evening was held at ICEF.

On November 13, 2016, the Master’s Programme in Financial Economics will hold an Open House. Maksim Nikitin, Academic Supervisor of the programme, spoke to the HSE News Service about who contemporary financial experts are and where ICEF Master’s graduates find jobs today.
