Daria Teterkina, who earned her master’s degree in 2018, is presently a chief specialist at MOEX Derivatives Market Department. In her interview, Daria reveals why ICEF enjoys a special atmosphere, how case study method can be helpful at the start of one’s career, and why aerial gymnastics is good for professional progress.

Konstantin Fedorov enrolled in ICEF Master’s Programme to gain a deeper insight into Corporate Finance and try himself in a new realm of activity. During his studies, Konstantin passed CFA Level 1 exam as a step towards the internationally recognized CFA credential. In this interview, he gives tips on how to prepare for the CFA exam, one of the toughest financial exams designed to help professionals acquire advanced financial analysis and investment management skills, and how ICEF can be helpful.

Daniil Esaulov enrolled in ICEF Master of Financial Economics Programme after having earned a degree from MSU Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. After successful completion of the program in 2012, Daniil chose to pursue an academic career and returned to ICEF as a lecturer in Finance and Mathematics and a coordinator of students’ research work. During the ICEF Open Days, held past March, Daniil gave tips on how to succeed in preparing yourself for studies at ICEF.

This past summer, Srdan Todorovic successfully defended his Master’s thesis and graduated from ICEF’s Financial Economics programme. He now works in VTB Bank’s retail operations and is considering further graduate studies at HSE. In this interview, he talks about his favourite courses and teachers, what he got out of the Master’s programme, and how learning in Russia differs from Serbian education.

With HSE turning 25 this year, The HSE Look will be telling more about HSE’s outstanding projects, and in its 33rd issue we are focusing on International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF), which is perhaps best known for its successful double degree Bachelor’s programme with the University of London. Ksenia Kushner graduated from the Master’s Programme at ICEF in 2015, and later that year joined the team at XENON Capital Partners, one of the leading financial investment consultancies.

Vladimir Shmarov graduated from the Master’s Programme in Financial Economics in 2015 and went on to complete a summer internship at Barclays in London. He now works there full-time as an ESG quant. Vladimir tells us not only about his studies and work in the bank, but also about teaching, dancing and how useful sitcoms can be.
