This year, HSE University has maintained its position in the 251-300 range in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The University ranks among the top 3 Russian universities along with Moscow State University (which ranks 174th) and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (which ranks in the 201-250 range). In the THE’s global ranking of the best universities for research, HSE ranks 199th.
Times Higher Education Young Universities Summit to Be Held in Moscow for the First Time
On June 24-26, 2020, the THE Young Universities Summit will be held for the first time at HSE University in Moscow. An official hand off ceremony was held earlier at the University of Surrey, which hosted the event this year. It was not by chance that HSE University was selected to be next year’s summit host—it is the only Russian university that consistently ranks among the THE top 100 young universities, and this year it took 60th place.
HSE Ranks Among Top 60 Best Young Universities Worldwide in THE Ranking
In 2019 the Higher School of Economics has climbed from 84th to 60th place in the Time Higher Education (THE) world ranking of young universities. HSE University is the only Russian university to place in the top 100 of this ranking.
Effective Development Strategy Helps HSE Climb in THE World University Ranking
HSE has once again climbed the THE World University Ranking and entered the 301 – 350 range, taking 3rd place in Russia after MSU (199) and MIPT (251-300). HSE first appeared in this ranking two years ago and every subsequent year the university has consistently improved its standing.
HSE Enters Top 35 in THE Emerging Economies Rankings
The Higher School of Economics has climbed to 32nd place in the Times Higher Education Emerging Economies Rankings, improving its previous position by 16 places.
