In 2020 the world changed, and so did HSE. Classes were held over Zoom, exams were taken online with proctoring, Meladze performed online at the graduation ceremony, and HSE Day became Brand New. The festival’s main stage area was called ‘HSE PRO Future’—because, after all, the future is important for any university. It’s why we do what we do. HSE University Day 2019. Live Broadcast
HSE University is not only about studying and hard work. Every year since 2012 we hold a university-wide celebration, HSE Day, which transforms Moscow's famous Gorky Park into a large university campus. Come to the park to meet HSE University up close - you can talk to students and staff, attend lectures and workshops, and take part in a wide range of activities. Today we will be keeping you updated about what's happening in the Park with our live broadcast.
Online Classes Should Replace Traditional Lectures Only When Necessary
Large online courses will become even more popular since the quality and accessibility of education is rising. They will not, however, replace traditional in-person interactions between student and teacher. This was the conclusion of participants in the eSTARS 2018 international academic conference on the present and future of online education. HSE and the online learning platform Coursera teamed up to host the event in Moscow on December 5-6.
International Council Recognizes HSE as Leader in Project 5-100
The Higher School of Economics was recognized as a leader among Project 5-100 universities following a recent session held by the Council on Competitiveness Enhancement of Leading Russian Universities among Global Research and Education Centers. The session took place in Yekaterinburg on October 27-28 and was chaired by Olga Golodets, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
