Workshop by Simple Group
On December 7th, Simple Group, one of the leading companies on the Russian wine market with an extensive distribution network throughout Russia, organized another workshop for MIB students.
MIB first-year students had a pleasure to attend a lecture by Anatoly Korneev, the founder and vice-president of Simple company. Anatoly is a famous wine expert, founder and leading instructor of a wine school, the author of many books and articles, and also a guest speaker at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy.
During the event, dedicated to the trends, problems and opportunities of the global wine industry, students had the opportunity to find out about the history of winemaking, criteria of wine quality, development of particular taste for wine and formation of wine prices. Besides, Anatoly willingly answered plenty of students’ questions. Specially for our foreign students, Anatoly’s lecture was translated to English by another wine expert – Thomas Anthony.
We are grateful to Simple for the entertaining lecture and interesting excursion into the wine world!
Of course, one lecture was not enough to capture all areas of students’ interests. The next Simple lecture is scheduled for March 2017.
