5 years of cooperation between MIB and Henkel Russia

This year MIB celebrates 5 years of successful collaboration with Henkel Russia

Since 2014 Henkel Russia has been successfully cooperating with “Master of International Business” (MIB) programme of one of the Russia’s leading universities – the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

During 5 years of collaboration, Henkel has been taking part in the work of the Advisory Council of the programme, holding master classes and working closely with students on solving real business cases. Over the years of cooperation, more than 300 students have attended the lectures and 60 students have taken part in the work of consulting projects under the guidance of Henkel managers.

Strong partnership with leading universities across the world to attract promising young professionals is a part of its global corporate Henkel ATTRACT initiative. Within this initiative, the company collaborates with more than 60 universities around the world. The partnership with MIB of the Higher School of Economics was the first large-scale educational project for Henkel since the launch of ATTRACT initiative in Russia.

“The partnership of our company with the MIB program of the Higher School of Economics (HSE) goes beyond the traditional cooperation between businesses and universities. It gives students unprecedented access to senior Managers at Henkel Russia to exchange their ideas directly with the senior management of Henkel Russia, which is an opportunity for exchange of ideas and development of competences, which will inherently lead to the transformation of our industry. At the same time, the students teach us at Henkel how to be agile, innovative and open-minded”, - tells Alexander Lilien-Schmidt, CFO at Henkel Russia and Eastern Europe Cluster, mentor of ATTRACT initiative in Russia.

Irina Kratko, PHD, Academic Director of Master of International Business Programme at Higher School of Economics: “The partnership with Henkel helps us to build a close link between study and practice. It’s a great opportunity for students of our program to acquire real-life business skills from a successful global company. We are very lucky to have Henkel as our partner for 5 years already. We speak the same language and share the same values – to give young talents the best environment for growth”.

As a member of the Advisory Council, the company is involved in the strategic development of the educational program. Senior management of Henkel Russia shares their expertise with students on FMCG market specifics and business processes of large companies, covering financial issues, R&D, human resources management, logistics, and marketing. At the same time, they provide an opportunity to apply this knowledge in practice and take part in business consulting projects. Such approach to educational process allows the company to share its knowledge and develop skills that are in high demand on the market, to help the students better understand the business environment and realize their leadership potential in solving business problems.
