«International News Production»: the start of the curriculum

The Communications, Media and Design faculty welcomes the first group of International News Production Master’s Programme.

Most of the students have an undergraduate degree in linguistics, that’s why our professors are trying to arouse student’s interest in the work of global media. All subjects are taught in English. Studies started with our highlight course: «Introduction to Alternative Media». It’s been designed by Creative Supervisor and the RT Managing Director, Alexey Nikolov. The main objective of this course is to give students basics of the critical approach to the mainstream news. Besides, the students will learn about successful ways to present alternative news in the «new media». 

Among other disciplines – «Ваsics of Journalism», «Media technologies», «Media Economy» and «History and Theory of the Media». The students are attending a project seminar, where they study and analyze the audience of modern media.

 The first exams of the Master’s Programme «International News Production» will take place at the end of October 2019.
