On March 15, 2024, the Law of International Trade and Dispute Resolution program hosted an open master class by Professor Carlo Giacoma, Director of the European Institute of Export Compliance. During the master class Professor presented approaches to compliance procedures, emerging standards in this area, the main provisions of the Export Compliance Code, the relationship between due diligence and export compliance. Professor Giacom's report raised many questions and discussion, in particular, the participants debated the problems of over-compliance, the increase in costs for businesses associated with export compliance, the impact of this factor on the cost of goods and services, as well as the competitiveness of the economy, the negative effects of economic sanctions and expanded export controls on international trade and investment.

The program expresses gratitude to the founder of the bar association “Linnikov and Partners”, doctor Alexander Linnikov for organizing the master class.
