First Impressions of First Year Student
These first weeks of study have been a real eye-opener for me. The program immediately immerses us in current issues of international trade and law, which is incredibly engaging.
Our international group has also been a pleasant surprise. Studying alongside people from so many different countries truly enriches the experience, as we can share diverse perspectives on global issues. Our group consists of 60 students, with classmates from Pakistan, India, China, Switzerland, Turkey, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and many other countries.
Moreover, this year the program has welcomed many graduates from top Russian universities. Among them are students from HSE, MSU, MGIMO, MSAL, RSUJ, RUDN, VAFT, and other prestigious institutions. Such a variety of academic backgrounds enhances our discussions and helps us see certain topics from new angles.
The diverse group makes discussions even more interesting, especially during joint projects. We’ve already worked in teams, which turned out to be a great way not only to apply knowledge in practice but also to get to know our classmates better. This fosters a positive atmosphere within the program, allowing everyone to support each other when questions arise.
Overall, my first impression of the program is very positive! Even in the first classes, it’s clear that there will be many exciting opportunities and discoveries ahead.
