On February 11, St. Petersburg State University hosted the Final Round of the Russian National Championship of the Jessup Competition, one of the most prestigious law competitions globally. The HSE University team (Moscow) appeared in the Final Round of the National Championship, and came as a Russian Runner-Up, after the champions of this year, the MGIMO team.

The HSE team advanced to 1/8 of Global Rounds of the FDI Moot in Lucknow!

This year, HSE Team comprised of students and research assistants of the Law Faculty reached the 1/8 of Global Rounds of the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Court (“FDI Moot”), the most prestigious competition in the field of international investment arbitration. More than 150 teams from around the world participate in the FDI Moot annually. This year’s competition was held in Lucknow, India.

Selection to the HSE Jessup team for the season 2024 is officially open!

The Philip C. Jessup Competition was established in 1959 as a competition in international law, which is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations. To date, the Jessup Competition is the largest and the most prestigious international law competition in English.
