Nikita Gryazin took part in University Consortium Module at Harvard University

From 2 nd to 10 th of March 2018 Nikita Gryazin, 1 st year Master Student and Research Assistant at CCEIS, took part in sixth University Consortium Module which was hosted by the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University (Cambridge, MA, USA).

It was a week Cross-Atlantic Exchange when students from different top universities of Russia, Europe and US came together for seminars, lectures and workshops about European security, US foreign policy, US-Russia relations etc. As a result of the Module, all students presented their research proposals. Nikita introduced to the audience, consisting of Harvard professors and students, his paper entitled “What determines U.S. foreign policy in Europe?”. He received very positive feedback and some suggestions how to make the paper even better.

Besides academic life, students had the chance to see Harvard University, to use its great library, and certainly to visit Cambridge and Boston cities and their best sightseeing places.

The University Consortium is a partnership among five leading universities in Russia, the rest of Europe, and the United States – Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow, Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO), the Davis Center at Harvard University, the Harriman Institute at Columbia University, and St Antony’s College at the University of Oxford. Together, the aim is to address the growing problems, tensions, and dangers posed by the profound crisis in relations among Russia, the European Union, and the United States and to cooperate in training a new generation of experts capable of enhancing understanding among these critical international players.
