«Shared Neighborhood»: online discussion between students of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs and UGent
On October 14, 1st year students of the master’s program «International Relations: European and Asian Studies» together with students of the University of Ghent (Belgium, Brussels) discussed the policy of Russia and the EU towards the countries of Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus. The discussion was moderated by Professor Fabienne Bossuyt of the University of Ghent.
During the debate, students discussed the causes of tensions between the Russian Federation and the EU and considered the question of whether the parties can overcome differences and deepen cooperation. The conversation was also devoted to considering possible steps that Russia, the European Union and the countries of Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus should take to reduce tensions in the region.
