Prof. Denis Zubalov spoke at the Teach for HSE discussion platform on the theme "Multicultural and Multilingual education. How to build the educational process in a multicultural and multilingual environment effectively?"
On February 19, 2020, a regular meeting within the framework of the project "Teach for HSE" was held in the hall of the Big professorial club at 11 Pokrovsky Boulevard. The discussion was devoted to teaching in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
The Inter-Campus Academic Seminar (IAC): “Development and positioning of the module for foreign (English-speaking) students and its promotion” was held in Perm Campus of HSE on November 1-2, 2019, under the leadership of Denis Zubalov
Exchanging experience with colleagues from the HSE Perm Campus for the development and implementation of various disciplines in English in undergraduate and graduate programs was the aim of the seminar.
Lectures by Professor Peter Patrick from University of Essex
A well-known sociolinguist, professor at the University of Essex (Great Britain), Peter Patrick taught the course “Globalization and Linguistic Diversity” for students of the Master's program “Language Policy in the Context of Ethnocultural Diversity” at the Higher School of Economics as a guest professor.
Expedition to Primorsky Krai
As part of the HSE “Rediscovering Russia” program, seven first-year graduate students spent a week in Primorsky Krai. The field expedition, held in Vladivostok, was aimed at studying multilingualism, value orientations, migration, local identity, family and state language policies of the region.
