Project expertise: How are decisions made in business?

Analysis of the decision-making process - the most important competence of the business psychologist.

Analysis of the decision-making process - the most important competence of the business psychologist. The fourth module began with a dive into the problem of the psychological characteristics of the decision-making process in business.

According to Mr. Simon, management is equivalent to decision-making process. The decision making process determines largely the sustainable functioning of the organization. In this regard, the business psychologists study the psychological nature of this process, its main stages, efficient decision-making techniques, the consequences of mistakes and ways of overcoming them, etc.

Students have the opportunity not only to acquire new knowledge, but also to demonstrate their capabilities in the design expertise of working on the theme: "Features of the decision-making process in the organization." The protections of projects took place on April 16th. All submitted projects were very interesting and reflect the actual problems of problem solving process in business.

What were projects devoted to? Some of the projects focused on the analysis of a specific decision that businessman faces, analysis of methods of its adoption and evaluation. Some projects have been devoted to the decision-making process at the organizational level. For example, identification of strengths and weaknesses of the decision-making system in the organization and development of recommendations to improve the functioning of the system. Some projects carried out the description of the current situation of decision-making process and identify the most optimal alternative.

All this forms the basis of the first step in the development of a complex process of decision-making that affects the present and future of the organization. The next steps of development of the subject will be related to various aspects of the inclusion of the acquired knowledge in the practice of counseling, coaching, training, etc.
