New tracks of development of business psychology

The results of the conference "Business psychology: theory and practice" from the 10th  to 12th  November 2016.

Conference on the psychology of business which was organized with a master's program business Psychology and the Association of business psychologists, has shown that the unique style of business psychology, which is formed in the HSE, is becoming increasingly attractive for researchers and practitioners.

The feature of this style is manifested in its focus to make business more efficient and at the same time, a more "humane", promoting subjective well-being, their personal and professional development.

Questions about the activities of the business of the psychologist in organizations, prospects of development of this direction, the identification of new growth points was devoted to a facilitated session "business Psychology: a map of our community, trends and new opportunities". The session was conducted by Timothy A. Nestik, Executive Director of the Association of business psychologists of Russia, doctor of Psychologycal Sciences, head of lab. of social and economic psychology IP RAS. By including active discussion of the present and future of business psychology, the whole conference took place in the semantic field of the search for new problem fields related to the development of business psychology. This gave a special flavor to the perception of reports. The first reports have already showed that in our society and business are maturing emerging trends that may affect the specifics of business psychologists. So, in the report of the O. S. Deineka, it has been shown that the possible inclusion of business psychologists is not only in solving business problems, but also issues of economic development, the interaction of business with society and the state. The report of A. Cuming on the problems knowledge management has clearly made the idea of "voids" in cognitive processes in organizations. Not coincidentally, many of the participants of the conference at the close of the conference said that they wanted to participate in other events organized by the HSE towards the development of business psychology.

All of this was the inspirational stimulus for the organization of a series of seminars, which will be conducted on the program “Psychology in business”.

The first seminar "knowledge Management – a strategic advantage in modern organizations" will be held in February 2017 (the exact date will be announced later).
