Breakfast with a consultant. This nice British business style.

On December 2, a new format for the Business Breakfast class was successfully tested at the master's program, at which the invited expert consultant shared his knowledge and experience in a relaxed atmosphere, and students, in turn, engaged in solving a complex problem that currently faces  a large domestic company.

The Russian-British character of the Master programme "Business Psychology" manifests  in new forms of classes that bring elements of the club atmosphere into the life of the programme. This contributes to the creation of conditions for a broad professional and personal communication of undergraduates, expressing their opinions and discussing issues of interest. A prime example of such a class was "Breakfast with a consultant" - a new interesting form of communication between students and teachers of the program with leading management consultant of our country.
The growing popularity of business breakfasts is due to the pleasant state in which most of us are in the morning, and the opportunity to share and perceive information in a relaxed atmosphere, to be involved in solving problems.
The invited guest was Sergey  Eliseev. He is a well-known consultant, president of NICMC (National Institute of Certified Management Consultants), independent (corporate) director, president of the Union of Independent Experts and Interim Managers, member of many expert councils, professional organizations, etc.
First our guest told us about himself, introduced the model of analysis of the problem situation in the organization, the stages of the consulting process. Then he gave the students the opportunity to be engaged in the solution on a real case. Sergei has the colossal experience of consulting the organizations that found themselves in a difficult, almost insoluble situation. That's why it is clear that the case was very complicated. It intertwined the problems of business development in conditions of sanctions and the existing system of state orders, the clash of interests of players from large corporations, etc. It turned out that the breakfast format was right for such a level of tasks. The students worked on the problem in groups, outlined the options for solving it. In fact, they met the challenge  from the real world of consulting. At the same time, they felt themselves easy and free.
As the students noted: "It was very interesting and tasty!" "It's a great idea to solve complex problems in the form of breakfast with an intelligent person!"
