Business psychology: a psychoanalytic approach to working with a person and a group

On February 17, a workshop on the use of psychoanalytic technologies in business was held for the students of the master's programme.

What is it useful for business psychologists to know about psychoanalysis? Which books on this topic should I read? What films about psychoanalysis and their work  are useful to see? With what methods of psychoanalytic counseling it is important to get acquainted for business psychologists?
The workshop was dedicated to these issues, which was conducted for the students of the first year of the Business Psychology master program. Leader of the workshop - Marina Lukanina - psychologist of the highest qualification, board member of the Yaroslavl branch of the European Confederation of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (ECPP-Russia), business coach, supervisor, project manager. She has got an extensive experience in assessment, organizational consulting, training (team development, motivation management, stress management, conflict management, etc.).
The students got acquainted with the psychoanalytic approach to the analysis of the individual and the group, discussed the possible scope of its application in the business psychologist's activities. Much attention was paid to the practice of applying techniques aimed at identifying the professional qualities of employees and the psychological characteristics of the group, predicting the development of the organization and human behavior in extreme situations, the situation of uncertainty, etc.
The workshop was very dynamic and productive. Each participant received a package of literature and techniques (description, stimulus, etc.).
