Professional "digest": stress, mental burnout, self-regulation
One of the principles of training on the program "Business Psychology" is - to study and teach with pleasure. Therefore, teachers are creative about the organization of the learning process, using a variety of methods and forms of education. All this makes the educational process intensive and, at the same time, interesting and fascinating, both for students and teachers.
Great interest among our students who work in various business areas, cause problems related to stress and their consequences. In psychology, there is a huge theoretical and practical arsenal on this topic. How can all this be presented to students in the most compact, informative, accessible form? How to present theoretical approaches and related practical work opportunities? These questions inspired teachers to conduct an original lesson, which was called Professional "digest" of stress, mental burnout, self-regulation.
As you know, digest means "multiple presentation". Three program teachers organized a spessial lesson - each teacher briefly stated its part of the topic.
Alexander Eliseenko presented modern approaches to the nature of stress. He showed the essence of this phenomenon, its manifestations, causes, regulators and the main consequences for man.
Natalia Ivanova paid attention to such a consequence of stresses as mental burnout: she singled out the main approaches to burnout in modern psychology, gave students the opportunity to undergo a psychodiagnostic session on the questionnaire of N.E. Vodopyanova, showed how to work with professional burnout.
Natalia Antonova presented a structured vision of self-regulation methods that a business psychologist must have to overcome the consequences of stress. Note that all this was done in one Saturday school day! The students were not tired, but did not want to leave, and asked to hold another lesson in the same form. They liked to study with pleasure!
