From the “Reception” to the Forum Alpbach Network (FAN) Booth in the “Lounge” on Hopin, a student of the Population and Development programme, Goodnews Israel Oshiogbele, had a great maiden experience at the European Forum Alpbach (EFA) 2020 which held virtually from August 23rd to September 3rd, 2020.
Student Research Paper Competition 2020 Accepting Submissions
Any student or 2020 graduate of a Russian or international university is eligible to take part in the Student Research Paper Competition. Papers can be submitted from September 1 to October 15. The competition has been held at HSE University since 2003.
Population and Development beyond Classroom
On the 16th of March 2020, some of our first year students met with the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations at the UN House in Moscow. They were taken through the history, operations, achievements and challenges of the FAO. It was an interactive and enlightening session. At about the close of the meeting, they were informed of vacancies for internships at the FAO.
International Applicants Are Eligible for an Additional Tuition Fee Discount

Students of Master's programme "Population and Development" of the Higher School of Economics partook in the just concluded Gaidar Forum 2020 which was co-organized by the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy, and the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) between 15th-16th January 2019, with the theme: "Russia and the World: Challenges of the New Decade".
