‘Football Brings People Together’: Faculty of Social Science Took Second Place at the First HSE Football Tournament among Foreign Students
The Higher School of Economics organized its first ever-mini football tournament for international students. The exciting competition took place on Sunday 28th May. The event which engaged spectators with excitement and curiosity had 6 teams at the “Energia” Stadium. Dagmara Celik Katreniak, Assistant Professor of our Department, has received Award for Young Economist from Slovak Economic Association
The Award was granted during SEA annual meeting in Bratislava this September, for the research paper "Persistent overconfidence: Evidence from a randomized control trial in Uganda"
New Registration Rules Now in Place for Foreign Citizens in Russia
On July 8, amendments to Russian migration legislation regulating the registration of foreign citizens coming to the Russian Federation came into effect. They concern, in particular, HSE’s international employees and students. The most important change: you now must be registered at the place where you actually live.
International Perspective
On June 4, 2017, HSE is holding ‘The Whole World at HSE’ festival, dedicated to the cultures of different peoples. It’s a great opportunity for many international students to share information about their country’s culture and explain how Russian culture might be perceived by people with a different mentality. In the part, HSE international students and faculty have shared their views on both their and our respective cultures.
