In 2019, Anna Kuzina graduated from HSE University and Skoltech Statistical Learning Theory joint master programme. Now Anna works as a research engineer in Skoltech and will commence her PhD studies in Amsterdam in September. Here she talks about her life as a student and her research. She also gives advice to students who want to build a successful career in industry and research.

HSE University’s Faculty of Computer Science and Skoltech have organised Statistical Learning Theory Olympiad for the third time. The Olympiad’s main award is admission to the HSE University and Skoltech joint master’s programme.

All full degree programmes, implemented at four HSE University campuses, received state accreditation for the next six years. The positive conclusions of experts and representatives of expert organizations have been published on the Rosobrnadzor website.

Sirius held a conference school arranged by the Talent and Success Foundation, Yandex, and the International Laboratory of Stochastic Algorithms and High-Dimensional Inference of HSE University. 

The Master's Programme in Statistical Learning Theory was launched in 2017. It is run jointly with the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech). The programme trains future scientists to effectively carry out fundamental research and work on new challenging problems in statistical learning theory, one of the most promising fields of science. Yury Kemaev and Maxim Kaledin, from the first cohort of programme graduates, sat down with HSE News Service to talk about their studies and plans for the future.

HSE's Faculty of Computer Science and Skoltech are pleased to announce the launch of the second joint Olympiad in Statistical Learning Theory (SLT). The competition will be open to undergraduate and graduate students specializing in fields related to Applied Mathematics and Informatics. Following a pre-selection phase (application details below), the Olympiad finals will be held at Skoltech on April 6-7, 2019.

HSE offers several scholarships that allow international students to cover part of their tuition fees in both undergraduate and graduate programmes. Scholarships are offered as a tuition discount for international students and take effect at the time of their enrolment in HSE. The scholarships are granted for the full period of studies.
