This figure is related to the success of Ekaterina Melianova and Artem Volgin, MASNA 2020 graduates, who were able to outrun more than 100 teams from different countries and won first place in the “DS4G: Environmental Insights Explorer” contest organized by Kaggle. As part of the competition, Artem and Catherine developed a methodology for calculating the intensity of nitrogen oxide emissions using satellite data from meteorological and energy information and emission statistics for the past year in Puerto Rico.
