Track 'Applied Statistics and Data Science' of the master’s programme 'Data Analytics and Social Statistics'
On July 15, an open day was held about the DASS track 'Applied Statistics and Data Science'.
The basis of modern data analysis is applied statistics, which allows the application of advanced methods of mathematical statistics to data from various spheres of society. This direction is strengthened by the technical knowledge and skills that Data Science provides as a field that combines data-related sections of computer science.
Elena Stegniy and Anna Kartasheva noted that a data analyst must understand the development trends of artificial intelligence (including Gen AI), patterns and strategies of data analytics, and not only be able to program, but also deeply understand the product being created in terms of business metrics.
The open house language is English.
