MASNA Open House Event
On August 11, another open house event was held for the Master of Applied Statistics with Network Analysis (MASNA) online master's programme.
Stanislav Moiseev, ANR-Lab analyst, as well as partner and curator of Research and Consulting at Aventica, talked about the specifics of solving research and consulting tasks in the industry and academia, about the importance of relevant expertise for the development of services, products and brands.
Ivan Klimov, academic supervisor of the MASNA programme, told why statistical consulting is needed in the academic environment and how it helps in building collaborations with industrial partners.
Irina Pavlova, Deputy Head of the ANR-Lab, told how the course on statistical consulting is organized at the MASNA master's programme and how students build their educational and project work on statistical consulting.
The seminar was also attended by industry debaters Ruslan Yusufov and Alexander Pakhomov.
Ruslan Yusufov, founder and partner of Mindsmith, an expert in digital transformation, technology trends and information security, noted that a modern analyst and consultant should be aware of existing technologies, including artificial intelligence, and be able to apply them in their work.
Alexander Pakhomov, junior researcher at ANR-Lab, head of customer experience research at Infowatch, and PhD student in sociology, said that statistics and analytics methods are necessary not only in the work of research agencies and consultants, but also in in-house companies.
