Students about master's program DASS
Last week, 06.06, ANR-Lab hosted a webinar of the DASS Master's programme, where Deputy Head of the Laboratory Irina Pavlova and Research Fellow of the Laboratory Anna Kartasheva told about admission to the Master's programme and its main implemented disciplines. The meeting was complemented by presentations of the 1st year students Maria Ermolaeva and Diana Nazarova, who shared their experiences and answered the questions of applicants.
Maria and Diana discussed the structure of the educational process, the programme's target audience and possible career prospects for its graduates.
"It was network analysis that attracted me to the Master's programme, it's something that fits perfectly into my area of interest," Maria noted. Diana emphasised the practical aspect of DASS, describing how the programme helped her to acquire skills with software such as R, Python, etc., which she successfully uses in her research.
It was also highlighted that in the DASS programme, students successfully learn the required subjects starting from the very basic level. Introductory courses provide a smooth transition to more complex topics, allowing all students, regardless of their previous level of background, to progress confidently in their studies on the programme.
