The Master's programme "Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation" has received international accreditation ‘EFMD Accredited’

The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)— the world's largest professional association in the field of business and management, has been accrediting entire business schools, individual programs (European Program Accreditation System - EPAS) or distance programs and courses since 2005. The EFMD accreditation system is considered one of the most prestigious for organizations and programs of higher education in the field of management. More than 100 educational programs in the world have EPAS accreditation.

The program was evaluated by leading experts. The review found that the program, which fully meets the latest management trends and market requirements for graduates, provides outstanding career opportunities for graduates and also students of the programme. The program is a valuable asset to HSE University with strong contribution to the HSE University global strategy.

Reviewers stress the high quality of the programme curriculum, meeting global standards in all regards. The internationalization of the programme which has until today numerous graduates from Double Degree with TU Berlin (50 graduates), Seoul National University (4 graduates), with Politechnical University Torino (4 graduates), University of Maastricht (2 graduates) are very special and unique features of the program. Furthermore teachers are truly international including 10 nationalities.

Dirk Meissner,
Academic Supervisor of the programme "Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation", Head of Laboratory for Economics of Innovation

“It’s an honour receiving the accreditation of the program. It shows us that we’re fully in line with global standards which we think is a valuable asset to our students in the first instance. But also it’s an evidence that the HSE University education is well in line with world standards which is what we are also proud of. Even we are accredited now it doesn’t mean we stand still. We continue developing the program, extending our global network, updating our curriculum to maintain the standard and deliver high quality to students to make them fit for outstanding careers.”

Since its beginning in 2002 more than 100 educational programs in the world have been accredited by EFMD. The EFMD Association strives to provide a high-quality exchange of best practices in the field of science and education, and to provide international accreditations to the best business schools, programs and faculties of business management.

The English-language Master's programme "Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation" has been implemented by the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of knowledge in 2014. The programme is distinguished by a high international orientation, thanks to a Double Degree Programme with leading universities in Europe and Asia: Berlin Technical University, Turin Polytechnic University, Maastricht University and Seoul National University. The programs of partner universities mutually recognize each other's curricula, which has a positive effect on the quality of education. During their studies, students have the opportunity to carry out their activities in four directions at once: research, management, design and entrepreneurship.

Obtaining accreditation is not only a confirmation of the high level of knowledge of graduates and students, but also an excellent opportunity to expand the horizons of international cooperation and even more actively participate in interaction with global business schools. Any independent assessment of the level and quality of the educational process is extremely important, and we hope not only to continue to meet all the requirements of professional standards, but also to grow together with modern market requirements.
