Digital Skills Training: Global Challenges and Digital Practices
On December 11, 2018, Sberbank Corporate University held a workshop 'Digital Skills Training: Global Challenges and Digital Practices'. As part of the panel discussion, Veronika Belousova, head of Unit for Intellectual Services Market Research (Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge, HSE University), presented a speech 'Digital Skills: a View of Financial Analysts and Experts in the Field of Science, Technology and Innovation'. She supported the view to pursue digital skills at master’s degree programmes by providing two example of 'future professions' taught at HSE: 'Financial Analyst' and 'Expert in the Field of Science, Technology and Innovation'. The results for financial analyst were received in cooperation with the CFA Association (Russia). Veronika Belousova demonstrated the need to provide organizational support, while introducing digital culture in a particular company and discussed the impact of financial analysts’ digital skills on labor productivity and overall efficiency of the companies where they are employed at. Veronika Belousova also indicated the skills that currently had the highest demand for the professional development in the field of science, technology and innovation. The particular attention was devoted to the role that digital skills played when platform-based solutions in both business and science were implemented.
