The role of KIBS-client interactions and related knowledge for innovation in KIBS

At the 30th RESER International Congress that took place in an online format on January 21-22, 2021, organized by the University of Alcala, Madrid, Spain, Nikolay Chichkanov presented the study 'The role of KIBS-client interactions and related knowledge for innovation in KIBS'.

Here is an abstract of the study:

'The paper is focused on the impact of KIBS-client interactions on the innovation activities in KIBS firms. Using an absorptive capacity concept it examines whether the client-related knowledge (1) acquired during the process of service coproduction through the digital communication channels, (2) assimilated with a support of a digital customer relationship management system and then (3) applied in different functional areas could be an enabler of innovation activity in KIBS. The results of the empirical study based on a sample of 417 Russian KIBS support that each of these three absorptive capacity dimensions has a positive impact on the implementation of both product and business process innovations in KIBS.'

The study was previously accepted for publication in the Journal of Knowledge Management.
