An individual project research seminar 'Transformation in banking: impact of unexpected crises and COVID-19' provided by Veronika Belousova, Canan Yildirim (Rennes School of Business) and Nikolay Chichkanov has been finished. Ten students participating in the course received regular assistance in the preparation of research projects in banking & finance. Throughout the seminar students progressively worked on individual their individual research projects receiving regular supervisors’ advice and support on a given progress.

In addition to individual research projects, students completed a data assignment on KIBS companies’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic. That was an in-depth analysis of companies’ websites and a preparation of final reports in the format of case studies.

The course contributed to the development of research skills by students: from the initial independent search, processing and analysis of the information to papers’ finalization. Moreover, regular interaction with supervisors and fellow students both individually and within groups allowed for strengthening of research project management skills

It was an interesting experience on project activity requiring well-established interactions with scientific supervisors and regular progress on own research

Denis Lebedev, 2-year student of Bachelor’s Programme 'Economics'

I refreshed my knowledge on how to prepare the different parts of big-scoped research by paying detailed attention to the literature review and data analysis sections. This, in turn, contributed to the tremendous extent in terms of coming up with a well-stated research question
