Olga Soloukhina held a seminar "Nouns and verbs comprehension by patients with aphasia - are there differences?"

On April 21 Olga Soloukhina presented results of one of the projects in neurolab and gave a talk on "Nouns and verbs comprehension by patients with aphasia - are there differences?"
The differences were analysed using comprehension tasks on a tablet. Participants had to hear a word and compare it with one of four drawings.16 healthy subjects and 26 patients with aphasia participated in this study. The results showed that the processing of verbs is more difficult for both groups. The generated subtests are a valid tool to assess nouns and verbs comprehension and can be applied to assess language disorders in aphasic patients.
