Lecture by Joseph MacInnes “Computational models of semantic memory: their use as both critic and guide”
Joseph MacInnes - Assistant Professor at the School of Psychology, HSE
On Thursday, April 14 at 17:00 Joseph MacInnes read a lecture “ Computational models of semantic memory: their use as both critic and guide”.
Lecture abstract: Stochastic models of semantic similarity can be trained from large corpora of natural language text and have been suggested as models of semantic memory. The lecturer showed two additional uses for these models: first as a semantic critic in a Turing test task, and second as a semantic guide for eye movements in visual search.
