Members of the Center for Language and Brain improve their skills through online OHBM Educational courses
The restrictions due to the pandemic COVID-19 prevent scientists from personally attending international conferences and visiting foreign universities in order to improve their qualifications, cooperation and exchange of experience. However, many universities and scientific communities around the world are moving to an online format, which makes it possible to improve the qualifications of researchers even during periods of restrictions.
Several members of the HSE Center for Language and Brain took Educational courses from the Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM). OHBM is an international society dedicated to advancing the understanding of the anatomical and functional organization of the human brain using neuroimaging.
As a part of these Educational courses, the following topics were covered:
- Population Neuroimaging: How to responsibly handle big data in the age of biobanks;
- Fundamental Concepts and Methods in Network Neuroscience;
- Analysis Methods for Naturalistic Data;
- Brain Parcellations and Functional Territories;
- Researcher's Guide to the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study;
- EEG Data Acquisition and Appropriate Data Pre-processing;
- Advanced Techniques for Functional and Structural Neuroimaging of the Cerebellum;
- Bridging Electrophysiology and Neuroimaging to Understand Brain Dynamics.
