The member of the Center for Language and Brain performed at the Student Conference “SmolCon-24” in Saint-Petersburg

Tatiana Eremicheva, research assistant from the Center for Language and Brain, HSE University, has joined the XII Smolny Student Conference with an oral talk

XII Smolny Student Conference (SmolCon) is a student conference which is traditionally held by the Saint-Petersburg State University. Bachelor, master and PhD students were welcome to participate in this Conference. During the Conference, 12-14 April, there were held multiple sections such as “History”, “Philosophy”, “Philology”, “International relations” and etc. 


This year the topic of the Conference was “Under the arch”, which symbolized the interdisciplinary nature of the works presented during the Conference. 


Tatiana Eremicheva participated with a short oral talk in the “Cognitive research” section. The presentation was on the following topic: “Phonological Processing Skills as Reading Predictors in Russian-speaking, 5-to-6-year-old Children”. Within her talk, Tatiana presented the upcoming results of a complex, longitudinal study on reading predictors in Russian-speaking preschoolers, which is conducted in the Center for Language and Brain. Tatiana’s abstract has been included in the Conference proceedings.
