The Center for Language and Brain at the HSE University (Moscow, Russia) invites you to join us for our 9th annual Summer Neurolinguistics School. The event will take place ONLINE on 27-29 June 2022CHANGE OF DATES 27-28 June 2022.
This year’s topic is Experimental Studies of Russia’s Ethnic Languages. The topic follows up on our 2019 school, devoted to Experimental Linguistics in Less-studied Languages, and focuses specifically on understudied languages of Russia. Since this is an emerging field of research, the School will have less focus on neuroscience methods than usually and instead will include work from adjacent fields, such as corpus and computational linguistics. We welcome submissions of work in progress and hope that the School will strengthen the community and support researchers of ethnic and endangered languages spoken in Russia.
What to expect?
The School is meant both as an educational event for students entering the field and as an academic environment where more experienced researchers can exchange ideas and share their latest achievements. To gain an impression, please see our previous schools.
The School program will include the following:
- Three plenary lectures by experienced researchers who use experimental or computational methods to study Russia’s ethnic languages (Michael Daniel, Mariya Khudyakova, Olga Parshina, HSE University),
- Oral presentations. We invite participants to submit abstracts until June 1 DEADLINE EXTENDED The abstracts are accepted till June 10 (23:59 Moscow time). (Abstract submission).
