Vision Modelling Lab invites applications for postdoctoral research positions
Vision Modelling Lab invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of computational models of attention that simulates functioning of human visual and oculomotor systems.
Objectives of the project:
- conducting experimental research using eye tracker (there is a possibility to use magnetoencephalography or transcranial magnetic stimulation)
- work on components of complex visual model, namely, help in creating specialized neural network algorithms and/or in simulating temporal characteristics of oculomotor systems
General requirements for a postdoc:
· Russian citizenship;
· PhD degree;
· Fluent English;
· Background in machine learning, cognitive science, and/or vision science and ability to work with eye tracking, MEG and deep learning neural nets.
The position involves:·
· Working under the direct supervision of Dr. W. Joseph MacInnes;
· Writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the Lab;
· Participation in the events of the Lab and other contribution to the Lab’s development;
· Public presentations of candidate’s own research to the academic community;
· Participants are encouraged to pursue their own research along with working on Vision Modelling Lab research projects.
