of first-year male HSE students have made achievements in sports. Among first-year female students, only 14% have made such accomplishments.

Females have fared better in creative areas, with 21% of first-year female students boasting success in acting, painting, music and much more. Only 9% of young people have achievements in these areas.

These data were obtained during a Monitoring of First-Year HSE Undergraduates study conducted by the Centre of Institutional Monitoring. More information on the survey results can be found in a new issue of Tipichnaya Vyshka (in Russian).
