iCare Junior in Perm


The Second international student research conference on applied research in economics, International Conference on Applied Research in Economics for Junior Researchers, has been held in Perm.

This is the second iCare Junior conference. Economics students at HSE Perm present their academic research on current issues in economics and finance, the problems businesses face in the current economic climate, aspects of research into intellectual capital, and other key issues. Their research is evaluated by a jury comprising tutors from the School of Economics and Finance, which includes Head of the programme in economics Andrey Emelyanov.

More than 20 students presented their research in the sections on Corporate Finance, Empirical Econmics, Junior Researchers. The issues they looked at included the impact of intellectual capital on company value, factors involved in investment companies’ valuations of firms, how  CEO confidence impacts the value of European companies, valuation models for property, and models looking at how judges on the popular TV show The Voice behave.

Presentations and full-texts of research featured during the conference will be made available on the website, and featured research will also be collated and published in print form (in Russian).
