roubles are to be raised on Boomstarter by Oleg IlyasovSchool of Linguistics, to create a Russian Numerals Table aimed at helping international students learn numerals in Russian.
‘On the one hand, numerals are especially tough to learn for international students’, Oleg Ilyasov said, ‘They confuse nine (devyat) and ten (desyat); twelve, nineteen and twenty (dvenadtsat, devyatnadtsat, and dvadtsat); and thirty and thirteen (tridtsat and trinadtsat). Let alone nineteen, ninety and nine hundred (devyatnadstat, devyanosto and devyatsot)! On the other hand, the structure of Russian numerals gave me the idea for this table. They are like a puzzle, so I came up with a concept of such a construction set that can help students build numerals themselves. The table is dynamic, it helps you go from one form of a word to another, and then compare them’.
The money raised will be spent for printing the table and sending it to customers. The authors have already received orders from Russia, Belarus, Italy, France, and Myanmar.
