Subject Selection Campaign for Students Has Begun

From May 15- 30, bachelor’s and master’s students (from second year onwards) select their electives for the 2018/2019 academic year.

At the end of every academic year, bachelor’s and master’s students (from second year onwards) put together their curricula, choosing the elective subjects that they will study over the next (2018/2019) academic year.

8887 disciplines will be taught as part of all educational programmes at the four HSE campuses and over 50% of them are optional. Almost a quarter will be taught in English.

For the first time this year, students will have access to the exact titles of the mass open online courses which are recommended by academic supervisors of educational programmes for study in online format. There will be 388 courses available, all of them created by the world’s leading universities and hosted on various online learning platforms.

In order to improve the selection process of elective subjects, HSE has developed the special module ‘Elective Courses’ in LMS which students can use to apply for a particular course. However, some educational programmes organize their selection process independently. Therefore, it is very important that students clarify the terms of subject selection with their respective department/faculty offices.
