HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov has congratulated students, teachers, and staff on Knowledge Day, which marks the beginning of the new academic year and is celebrated in Russia on September 1. ‘This day marks the new opportunities that open up to us and calls us to climb the most unreachable heights,’ he said.

The rector particularly welcomed the first-year students who have made the right decision to become part of HSE University. ‘We will do our best to make sure you never regret it,’ he said. He emphasised that the students have years of hard but interesting and fulfilling studies in front of them, after which they will ‘become real professionals with bright futures’.

Nikita Anisimov mentioned the students whose family members are conducting missions in the Special Military Operation zone. ‘We will provide them all the support during their studies, including psychological counselling,’ he said.

He also welcomed international students who have chosen to study at HSE University. According to Nikita Anisimov, the university ‘remains an integral part of the global educational community’. ‘I hope that our international friends will not only gain relevant knowledge at our university, but also get to know Russia better and fall in love with it, fully immersing themselves in its culture and hospitality,’ he noted.

Nikita Anisimov expressed his gratitude to all teachers and staff of HSE University, whose ‘hard work, professionalism, and outstanding personal qualities have made HSE University what it is for three decades and have helped it remain a world-renowned university.’

‘Congratulations on Knowledge Day! I hope that the new academic year will be full of vivid emotions, thrilling discoveries, and the happiest life changes for all of us!’ he concluded.
