Irina Martusevich
‘The Competition of Innovations in Education is a new and exciting, yet proven, format for finding and supporting initiatives that contribute to the development of entrepreneurship and community in education. Partnering with business is important for our university. One of the rising trends today is the transfer of knowledge between business and university. Therefore, this year we decided to merge our project with the expertise of Alfa-Bank and we plan to involve even more innovators from all over the country in the community,’ said Irina Martusevich, HSE University Vice Rector.
Marat Ismagulov
‘Schools and universities give people the skills of constant self-development. Such competencies as flexibility, creativity, the ability to solve problems and work in a team will always be in demand. Our educational programmes and initiatives, including strategic partnership with KIVO, are aimed at developing these particular skills,’ said Marat Ismagulov, HR Director at Alfa-Bank.
The competition provides four tracks to indicate project maturity: mature innovative projects for scaling, start-ups, working ideas, and foresight innovations (bold breakthrough ideas ahead of their time).
In addition to the grand prize, Alfa-Bank announced three nominations reflecting the main vectors of modern education and technologies that the bank actively supports and develops: AI innovation in education, innovation in teaching financial and digital literacy, innovation in teaching entrepreneurship. The winners in each of these nominations will receive a 500,000-rouble grant for the implementation of the project.
Since the first KIVO in 2014, the competition has received more than 5,500 applications from 21 countries. The competition community unites more than 15,000 innovators and entrepreneurs in the field of education in Russia and the world.
The competition partners—flagships of the Russian educational and EdTech space—will also offer their own nominations.
