Tetsuya UMETSU, Director-General in Moscow, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)
Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Kanazawa University, and joined the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in 1991. Served as Deputy Director-General of the Moscow representative office (2004-2007), Director-General of the newly established St. Petersburg office (2007-2012). After coming back to Japan Mr. Umetsu served as Director of the Overseas Research Department in charge of Russia and Eurasia (2012-2019), Senior Director for Strategic Planning (Russia and Eurasia) of the Planning Department (2014-2019). Since August 2019 Mr. Umetsu continues to serve as Director-General in Moscow.
