ICSID Conference for young scholars, September 16-17, 2024

13th annual ICSID Conference "Contemporary Trends and Prospects in the Political Economy of Development" will be held in Moscow on September 16-17, 2024.

Young scholars will present new research on a variety of topics:

• Role of institutions in economic development;
• The role of technology in economic development;
• Income inequality and wealth distribution;
• Collective action and public goods;
• Comparative studies of governance;
• Social capital, trust, and cultural norms;
• Human capital and economic development;
• Political elites and economic performance;
• History and persistence of economic growth.

The workshop will operate in both English and Russian, with priority given to English. To ensure efficient communication and engagement, the workshop sessions will be categorized based on language preference - English and Russian.

Adapting to current global circumstances, the workshop will adopt a hybrid format. It will consist of in-person sessions as the primary mode of interaction, but virtual participation will also be accommodated. Despite the allowance for online involvement, we place a higher emphasis on face-to-face communication, thereby encouraging as many participants as possible to engage physically.
