HSE Students Make Art out of Old Electronics
The student society Green HSE and the School of Design are organising a marathon transforming old electronics into art. Art Electronics Days began on 29th October and will end with the announcement of a winner on 20th November.
Students at the Design faculty and anyone on a non-vocational courses can enter. The marathon kicks off with collecting proposals from individuals and teams who will be placed in categories of ‘We’re Making It’ and ‘Ideas for the Future’. Those in the first category will be able to start working on their ideas with real materials while those in the second group will go through a further competition online. The winners in both categories will be announced on 20th November and can expect nice prizes from Green HSE.
The marathon sets the stage for a large-scale action on 18-20th November to collect old electronic items at HSE to send for recycling at the Petromax factory in Lobnya. Green HSE is planning a workshop to make robots from old electronics at MIEM (Strogino).
