‘May You Believe in Yourselves, Never Rest on Your Laurels, And Always Strive for More’
The new academic year has kicked off at HSE University. Rector Nikita Anisimov greeted the students, staff and particularly new arrivals on Knowledge Day—September 1, which, as he emphasised, symbolises the beginning of a new journey and new achievements.
Today, students full of enthusiasm start their studies, while the university’s teachers and staff do their best to make the studies as effective and successful as possible, Nikita Anisimov said. This academic year is a special one for HSE University. On November 27, it turns 30. ‘It has come a long way. While HSE University is quite young for a university, we have already achieved a lot,’ the rector said. ‘We are deservedly one of the best universities in Russia. Thanks to its active innovative activity and research, its outstanding teachers and students, HSE University has not only taken its place among the most prestigious universities in Russia, but also trained and offered the market tens of thousands of professionals—the generation of the future’.
Hari the Robot Recommends
We created Hari the robot and named him after Hari Seldon, a character who can predict the future in the works of science fiction writer Isaac Asimov. He is based on a machine-learning model that selects news based on the behavioural metrics of HSE website users.
