HSE University and Alfa-Bank Sign Cooperation Agreement
The partners have agreed to develop education in the field of fintech. The corresponding bilateral agreement was signed by HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov and Alfa-Bank CEO Vladimir Verkhoshinskiy.
Under the agreement, Alfa-Bank and HSE University plan to launch joint programmes, develop innovative ideas, conduct research, organise events and internships for students, and develop and implement the latest banking technologies.
This is not the first joint project between HSE University and Alfa-Bank; to date, 13,500 students have taken part in their joint initiatives. The partners previously launched Alfa Campus Junior, a series of practice-oriented courses for the HSE Lyceum. Students of the school took courses in Project Management and Machine Learning.

‘Alfa-Bank has been actively working to support fintech education in Russia for many years. Cooperating with HSE University—one of the top universities in the country—makes it possible to train professional staff out of universities and attract young and ambitious specialists. We have a lot of HSE University graduates working for us, and we are constantly hiring new ones. Many of them are involved in the development and implementation of the bank’s most prominent projects,’ noted Alfa-Bank CEO Vladimir Verkhoshinskiy.
Nikita Anisimov
HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov said: ‘We are happy to begin the next stage of our cooperation with Alfa-Bank, one of the largest and most innovative financial institutions in Russia and one with whom HSE University already has long-standing partnerships. I hope that our cooperation in fintech—an important field for the economy and society—will have a continued synergetic effect and benefit our two organisations and Russia in general.’
