Work should be emotionally captivating and interesting, say 42% of those surveyed. Opportunities to manage others was the least interesting to ninth-grade students, with only 18.4% of respondents considering this important.
These statistics come from an article published by Alexandra Yuzhaninova, Junior Research Fellow at the HSE’s Institute for Educational Studies, entitled ‘Secondary School Students’ Expectations Regarding Future Work’.
