Forum in Paris

On January 25th the French-Russian Student Forum took place in Paris, as part of the ‘Russia-France Year 2010’. Representatives of the Higher School of Economics took part in the event.

The Forum started with an academic and research conference on ‘Russia and France:ways of integrating science and education in higher education', which involved heads of leading Russian and French universities. As part of the forum, the Russian and French partners organized roundtable discussions on many relevant topics:on the problems of state policies in the sphere of employment, inter-university cooperation in the technical sphere, and many others, including issues of power industry development and the problem of racism.

The HSE and its oldest partner University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne organized a roundtable discussion on ‘State Policies in the Field of Employment', where Rostislav Kapelushnikov, HSE, Tatiana Chetvernina, HSE, and Mihail Sollogub, University Pantheon-Sorbonne, presented their reports.

The Forum in Paris turned out to be not only a political event, but also an event which allowed the participants to meet many old partners of our university, to talk to the French Ambassador in the RF and many former Ambassadors, as well as representatives of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, various universities and members of the Russian and French culture elite including Valentin Yudashkin and Mireille Mathieu.
