Enrolment in undergraduate programmes is underway. International recipients of the Russian Government Scholarship can study at HSE University for free and get a place at an HSE dorm. How HSE University-St Petersburg Spent 2022
In 2022, HSE University-St Petersburg signed partnership agreements with VK, Ozon, Tinkoff, Alexandrinsky Theatre and 1C. The campus hosted several significant scientific conferences, supported research projects carried out by students, opened new bachelor’s and master’s programmes, as well as participated in major city events.

Festival in Tula Welcomes Future HSE University International Students
In December, HSE Preparatory Year students travelled to Tula to attend an international student festival. HSE Students Become Winners and Finalists of CTF Cup of Russia
Two teams including students from the HSE Faculty of Computer Science and the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics, are the best in Russia in practical cybersecurity in the framework of the Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions. The main purpose of this type of competition is the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of information security, professional growth and the development of programming and system design culture among students and young scientists involved in cybersecurity.

HSE University to Attract More Students from African Countries
The number of HSE students from Africa has exceeded 200 this year. Today, 235 students from 31 African countries study at the university. Last year, 175 students from 29 countries studied at HSE University.
Where Languages and Cultures Meet
The Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication combines traditional approaches to foreign language teaching with innovative educational practices. The programme has attracted a lot of international students thanks to the opportunity to enrol in the English track and study all its courses in English. The Bachelor's programme 'Philology' welcomes both Russian and international students. We talked to Mikhail Beshimov, who entered HSE University-St Petersburg via the HSE International Olympiad and came to study from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. In the interview, he shared his experience of participating in the Olympiad, the difficulties of moving to Russia and his first months study.
