HSE Experts Presented a Paper in Paris
In early July 2013, a joint academic conference of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), The University of Oxford, and the British Open University, took place in France. The conference was dedicated to the problems of welfare economics and was held in the OECD headquarters in Paris. Several HSE experts took part in the event.
How Politics Influences Transfers and Investment
Thе conference Studying Institutions and Development in Russia: new Data and New Approaches ( HSE, June 26-27, 2013 Moscow) presentы cutting edge research in the field of political economy. Drawing in large part on the work of the International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) at the Higher School of Economics in 2011-2013, it focuses on the regional dimension of institutions and economic development. At the end of May the 3rd international conference ‘Youth and Project Management in Russia: Contemporary Challenges and Prospects’ took place at the HSE. It was organized by the HSE Department of Project Management in cooperation with the Russian Project Management Association SOVNET and Young Crew Sovnet. The event has been organized by the ‘Graffiti and Street Art in the Cultural Cityscape’ research and study group, and the Poletayev Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities. Experts in modern urban studies will participate in the conference. Keynote speakers are geographer Luke Dickens (Open University of London, United Kingdom) and sociologist Andrea Mubi Brighenti (University of Trento, Italy).
